Cards are accepted in many places, but smaller shops and taxis often prefer cash. It's a good idea to have some Bulgarian leva (лв) on hand.
For easy travel around Sofia, we personally use the Yellow! taxi app. We recommend using this app, however, keep in mind that the taxi drivers don't always speak or understand English.
